Sep. 28--HAROLD ALLEN CO. CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF HELPING FOLKS FIND HOMES: Over the years, Harold Allen estimates the real estate company his father founded in 1940 has handled the sale of some 18,000 houses in the Tacoma area.
More than all those properties, it's the people Harold A. Allen Co. has worked with in those years who stand out in Allen's memory. When the Lakewood company has a private 60th anniversary celebration Friday, some of those individuals will be on hand.
Though confined to a wheelchair for the past four years, Mildred Jeynes plans to attend. She sold property for the Allen Co. from the mid-1950s to the early '60s.
