SYDNEY, Australia _ This is yet another story of a great athlete who returned for a last cup of coffee and ended up dumping it on himself.

It happens all the time in baseball, football, basketball, boxing, and every other sport where the big star couldn't quite walk away. Sunday, it was weightlifting's turn.

Naim Suleymanoglu, Turkey's "Pocket Hercules," came out of retirement to make a bid for a fourth straight gold medal in Sydney. Already the only winner of three weightlifting golds, Suleymangolu promised his countrymen that he would win again in Sydney.

Suleymanoglu didn't deliver.
