KREIN JOINS PALMETTO BANK: Penny Krein, a native of York, has been named marketing officer at The Palmetto Bank.

Krein will be responsible for marketing communications and public relations. Previously director of group sales for the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, Krein graduated from Furman University.

MULLIS APPOINTED TO AUCTIONEERS' COMMISSION: Fred Mullis, of Mullis Brothers Auction Co. in Lancaster, has been reappointed to the S.C. Auctioneers' Commission for a term expiring in 2002.
