The prestigious Clio Awards show, which honors the world's best television commercials, is moving from New York to South Florida next year.

The four-day event, which attracts hundreds of art directors, copy writers, film producers, designers and media representatives, has been held in New York during most of its 41-year existence.

But organizers began searching for a different venue last year to draw more ad agency glitterati to the show.

In talks with past attendees, Andrew Jaffe, executive director of the Clio Awards, said he heard a similar theme: New York is not fun, it is expensive and it is a frequent destination associated with work.
