May 4--TRINIDAD, Colo.--The Las Animas County Planning Commission has recommended approval of a special use permit for a new convenience store, gas station and Wendy's fast food franchise on I-25 south of Trinidad.
Construction of the complex is nearly complete, although the building permit has been in court for three years and the court battle apparently is not over.
The project owner is Triple D Family Limited Partnership, which includes Ray Duran and J.R. and Marie Duran. Business associate Ed Griego owns the Wendy's franchise.
