Cosmetic changes in corporate identity are surprisingly frequent at Federal Express over the last few years, but the shift from the clumsy FDX corporate identity to the newly-configured FedEx Corp. comes with changes in the underlying companies that seek to fill major holes in the world's largest air express company. While bringing most of its subsidiaries under the single FedEx banner, including "FedEx Ground" in place of business-to-business package 'specialist RPS, the company is adding a new FedEx Home Delivery service as FedEx's long-awaited competitor to United Parcel Service's ground delivery empire.
