WASHINGTON, D.C. _ Two seasons into his job as basketball coach at George Washington, Tom Penders is still working to install his system.

``We're playing about halfway to the style I'd like to play,'' the former University of Rhode Island coach says. ``We don't have the bodies, the numbers, to pressure (on defense) for the whole game. We pick our spots because we're not real deep. And we don't have a whole lot on the inside.''

So, does that mean GW is playing more slowly than the teams Penders had at URI and Texas? That the Colonials are not scoring as many points as the Rams and Longhorns did with Penders on the sideline?
