BRIGHAM YOUNG

WHAT TO EXPECT: These are not the same pass-happy Cougars from the days of Detmer, Young and McMahon. BYU averages 237 yards a game throwing the ball, which is only 34th in the nation. The 1998 Cougars win with defense, a new concept for BYU. The Cougars, ranked No. 5 in total defense, will have to slow Tulane's high-powered offense to have a chance.
