DENVER _ Part of Gary Kubiak doesn't want to leave Denver so soon.
Through nine seasons as the Broncos' backup to John Elway and four more as the offensive coordinator, Kubiak has established plenty of roots.
The family home in nearby Greenwood Village is practically the only one his three sons, Klint, Klay and Klein, have known.
But the ambitious part of Kubiak realizes there's rarely been a better time to explore the possibility of leaving Denver to become an NFL head coach.
That quest took him to Cleveland on Tuesday, where he met executives of the new Browns.
``A part of me is pinching myself,'' Kubiak said. ``At this stage in my career, to hop off a plane and have people waiting to talk to me is special.''
