Sep. 15--NEW YORK--Turning his attention from his own crisis to another, President Clinton called Monday for a coordinated international response to the global economic downturn threatening the United States' historic boom and endangering emerging democracies.
In an address to the Council on Foreign Relations, Clinton called the current economic fallout around the globe "the biggest financial challenge facing the world in a half-century."
