Fort Worth, Texas--Sep. 11--Crescent Real Estate Equities Co., the fast-growing investment trust controlled by financier Richard Rainwater, will start to pay out a bit more of its earnings this month with a 25 percent jump in its quarterly dividend.

The Fort Worth-based firm announced yesterday that it will pay a cash dividend of 38 cents per share for the quarter ending Sept. 30, up from 30.5 cents over the previous quarter.

The dividend is equivalent to an annual dividend of $1.52 per share. It is payable Nov. 4 to shareholders of record Oct. 16.
