DAVIE, Fla.--Aug. 29--Things go better with Coke -- maybe a million dollars better in Davie.

A deal is brewing between the soft-drink giant and Mayor Harry Venis that would make Coca-Cola the "official" drink of Davie.

Coke would give Davie money, which the town would promptly donate to local charities, Venis said Thursday after an informal meeting with Coke representative Steve Decker.

They're not saying how much money is at stake, but other government agencies have reaped as much as $2.5 million from selling their name to Coke.
