MIAMI--Aug. 21--Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp. says it is in preliminary talks with several potential buyers of its home health care business.
A Columbia spokesman, while not confirming any specific suitors, said Columbia is receiving inquiries about its home health business, which contributes about 6 percent of the health care giant's $20 billion in annual revenues -- and an outsized share of controversy.
Jeff Prescott, a Columbia spokesman in Nashville, said any talks about selling the home health business are in a preliminary stage.
"I'm sure that a lot of folks are going to be contacting us, showing interest," he said.
