Jun. 23--The Air South torch has been passed to John Affeltranger this time, and he says he's ready to turn the Columbia-based discount airline around.

"There's really not many airlines out there, and I've been given the opportunity to run a team," Air South's new president said in an interview Friday. "I feel the Air South board has given me the opportunity to give it my best shot."
