May 1--One of the nation's largest providers of vitamins and nutritional supplements has chosen York County for a production and distribution center that is projected to employ 700 people.
The major influence in Leiner Health Products' choosing York County is the projected continuous availability of trainable labor as well as the overall cost of doing business, said Griffen Ott, senior vice president of operations for the Carson, Calif.-based company.
Leiner products are widely sold in retail chains throughout the United States. The company is best known for its Your Life products.
