NESHAPs on the horizon, but CTGs give way to ACTs
EPA continues to prepare regulations and undertake studies to meet directives set by Congress in the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) of 1990. The activities include:
* preparing new Control Technique Guidelines (CTGs)
* studying volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from consumer and commercial product sources
* developing rules to limit emissions of toxic air pollutants by means of National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs).
