WICHITA, Kan.--Dec. 14--Wichita air travelers will get a new gateway to cities east of the Mississippi when one of the nation's busiest regional airlines begins service to Cincinnati.
Comair, a Delta Connection airline, will start jet service in February with three daily round trips to its hub in Cincinnati.
The regional, among the top five in the nation by passengers carried, will use the 50-seat Regional Jet made by Canadair and certificated in Wichita at the Bombardier Flight Test Center operated at Learjet Inc. The Federal Aviation Administration certified the Regional Jet as the world's quietest airliner earlier this year.
