OKLAHOMA CITY--Aug. 12--Another Friday the 13th looms on the horizon, but to those in the vitamin and nutritional supplement industry it will be "Blackout Friday," Tempie Nichols, owner of The Earth Natural Foods and Deli, said Wednesday.
Nichols' stores in Oklahoma City and Norman are joining other natural food and nutritional stores in the Oklahoma City area and across the country in a national "blackout" Friday.
The event is an attempt to draw attention to proposed Food and Drug Administration regulations that could limit their ability to market vitamins, supplements and other health products.
