Happily, it's still the 21-year-old program here, now in the final weeks of a season that finds people pleading for tickets before almost every performance in the downtown St. Francis Auditorium.
To the amazement even of those responsible for it, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival has gone through a major transition with the ease of opera singers who change costumes between acts.
Two years ago troubles within the camp _ compounded by previously unknown deficits _ threatened the very existence of the festival. Founders Sheldon Rich and Alicia Schachter withdrew from the program, taking significant financial support with them.
