Target Stores Picks Automated Logic to Replace Enercon Units
MINNEAPOLIS-- Target Stores here will abandon the use of the 1664 and Zonemaster 460 EMS, supplied and serviced by Enercon Data Corp., in its nationwide chain of retail stores. It will begin replacing the systems with a centrally monitored controller manufactured by Automated Logic Corp., Marietta, Ga., according to Brian Guilbault, Target's energy manager.
The agreement calls for Automated to take out the Enercon systems in Target's 400 existing stores over a 10-year period and outfit the stores, as well as 25-30 new stores a year, with the Automated Logic's System 20/20. If all old and new stores are serviced as planned, the job will be worth around $16.5 million, according to figures provided by Target.
Nine stores in the Dallas area will have their Enercon 1664 systems replaced beginning this month.
