Study Sees Moderate Fuel Price Hikes to 2010
Energy prices will increase moderately in the next quarter century, with industrial costs rising more than commercial costs, according to a new report released here by the Gas Research Institute (GRI) titled "1987 GRI Baseline Projections of U.S. Energy Supply and Demand to 2010."
Gas to industrial users will rise in price by 3.6 percent by 2010, residual oil will rise by 3.8 percent, distillate oil by 2.9 percent, coal by 1.6 percent and electricity by 1.1 percent.
