Transco Nixes FERC Version of 436 Settlement

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. (Transco) last week rejected the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's version of the pipeline's Order 436 settlement approved Feb. 20.

At the same time, Transco filed the first of what it calls "several separate or severable elements' of a new 436 settlement with FERC. The rest of the settlement will be submitted to the commission "in the near future,' according to the pipeline.

Before the commission acted on Transco's original settlement last month, the pipeline had already said the proposal was outdated and that it wanted to pursue a different settlement. Talks on …
