Physicians in the United States who perform in vitro fertilization are being urged for the first time to consider transferring a single embryo in patients with the most favorable prognosis.
The suggestion is part of revised embryo transfer guidelines issued by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and its affiliate, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).
