Transforming itself from a small local facility of two swimming pools to a major regional aquatics center, the $12.5-million Holland Community Aquatic Center has generated major waves since 1996, when voters approved a major addition and renovation. With six indoor pools, the facility has grown to train and host some of the nation's best athletes--and now it's the Class 2 Best of Aquatics winner.
Complete with two leisure pools, one warm-water therapy pool, diving well, competition pool, spa, vortex pool and waterslides, the Holland, Mich., aquatics center provides ongoing instructional, therapeutic and recreational programs.
