With eight indoor waterparks to run, Joe Schmitz handles a lot of water. But these days, it's the air he's really worried about.
"To put it bluntly, air handling in the waterpark has been one of the biggest challenges since the evolution of the whole indoor waterpark phase," says Schmitz, aquatic director for the Great Lakes Company, the Madison, Wis., firm that owns the Great Wolf Lodge resort brand.
