(If you score 80 or better, you are a baseball expert; 70 or better, superior; between 60 and 70, good and between 40 and 60, average.

1. Bob Welch was the last pitcher in the majors to win 25 or more games in a season when he registered 27 victories for the Oakland A's in 1990. Who was the last pitcher to win 25 or more games in back-to-back seasons: Denny McLain, Juan Marichal, Ron Guidry or Sandy Koufax?

2. Who is the only player in major league history to have consecutive seasons with 100 or more extra-base hits: Todd Helton, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig or Barry Bonds?

3. This year Ichiro Suzuki collected more than 230 hits in a season for the second time in his career. Only three other players in major league .history have had two seasons with 230 or more hits. For ten points, identify one of these three players.

4. Since 1900, there have been only nine players who have stolen 50 bases and collected 100 or more RBI in the same season. If you can identify two of these nine players, collect ten points.

5. Going into the final week of the 2004 season, left-handed pitchers Randy Johnson of the Diamondbacks in the National League and Johan Santana of the Twins in the American League were leading their respective leagues in strikeouts. The last time left-handed throwers led the A.L. and N.L. in strikeouts in the same season was 1982. Collect ten points if you can name one of the lefty strikeout leaders from 1982.
