A stable and nurturing environment may help reduce social problems associated with fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), the Associated Press reported. Scientists found that children who were diagnosed with FAS or fetal alcohol effect early and came from stable homes were two to four times less likely to experience social problems, such as incarceration, inappropriate behaviors and substance abuse.
