Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. (3655 N. First St., San Jose, CA 95134; Tel: 800/423-7364, Fax: 408/544-4919) announced a 19-in. high-resolution SXGA (1,280 by 1,024 pixels), patterned vertical alignment (PVA) TFT LCD display that is positioning as the next- generation desktop standard for high-end PCs.

PVA technology provides this new monitor with a high contrast ratio of 500:1; an enhanced brightness of 250 nits; a fast 25-ms response time, capable of running full-frame video rate; and a wide 170-degree conical viewing angle for easy readability.
