Multan, June 14 (PPI): Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan on Saturday declared the result of SSC examination 2003. A total of 84,689 candidates appeared, out of them 42,357 were declared successful showing pass percentage of 50 while last year it was 55.7 percent. Burewala showed the best performance in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination and annexed the three top positions in science group, one in overall positions and one in Humanities group, two girls of Khanewal got top positions in General group (girls) while Multan city got only one position in overall positions. Briefing the journalists, Chairman of BISE Multan Mian Arif Salim said 41,685 candidates appeared in science group out of them 25,621 were declared successful achieving the pass percentage of 61.5 while last year it was 68.5. In General group 43,004 candidates appeared out of them 16,736 passed making pass percentage of 38.9 while it was 45 percent last year. Safia Shaheen Roll no.4792 of Burewala and Hafiz Muhammad Mujahid Roll no.14272 of Mumtazabad, Multan got top positions in overall by securing 784 marks each.
