Multan, Jul 31 (PPI): The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan Thursday announced result of Intermediate (annual) examination 2003. The BISE Multan announced results after much delayed due to late arrival of Punjab Agriculture Minister that led hundreds of students and their parents faced serious hardship of wait for the announcement. Government Colleges of District Burewala bagged top three over all positions, top three girls positions and top two boys positions in the BISE while the result ratio remained high among regular students compared to private candidates. Total 38768 candidates applied for exam including 8135 belonged to science group, 5059 from general science group and 25574 from humanities and other groups. Total 37944 candidates appeared and 19042 were declared pass with over all pass percentage of 50.18 percent. Total 21325 candidates appeared from recognised institutes, 11990 were declared pass with 56.23 percent result while 16619 private candidates appeared, 7052 were declared pass with 42.43 percent result. Punjab Minister for Agriculture and Food Arshad Klhan Lodhi chaired the result ceremony while BISE secretary senior Prof. Munir Jehangir, acting BISE chairman Prof. Abdul Sattar Sindhu declared the result. The government Burewala College candidate Ahamed Haseeb Mushtaq, roll number 8010 obtained 970 marks with over all first top position; government Burewala College candidate Muhammad Yousaf Madni, roll number 8017 secured 960 marks with 2nd position and Burewala government college for women candidate Sana Saeed, roll number 933 bagged 958 marks with 3rd position in over all BISE. Ahmad Haseeb Mushtaq, roll number 8010 obtained 970 marks with over all first top position; government Burewala college candidate Muhammad Yousaf Madni, roll number 8017 secured 960 marks with 2nd position and Sahiwal division public inter college candidate Farooq Arshad, roll number 7272 obtained 951 marks with 3rd position among boys. Burewala Government College for women obtained all the three positions among girls include Sana Saeed, roll number 933-bagged 958 marks with 1st, Adeela Khan, roll number 877, got 955 marks with 2nd position, Hafiza Farkhanda Hina, roll number 878 obtained 941 marks with 3rd position and Amara Sharif, roll number 5518 obtained 941 marks with 3rd position among girls.
