Florida state prisons are taking in record numbers of inmates, with the largest increases occurring among convicted drug offenders, the Orlando Sentinel reported. People convicted of drug-related crimes account for the single largest group of offenders and most drug offenders in the prison system are repeat offenders, the newspaper reported.
