In those days, I started and relieved. I had 20 starts and 18 relief appearances in '56. We were always available, even when we were starting. Casey (Stengel) would use you foe an out or two sometimes if you were a starter. We all did what Casey wanted us to do.
I started Game 2 against the Dodgers, and I was wild. I gave up four runs in one and two-thirds innings, and Casey didn't like that. We lost 13-8 to the Dodgers in that game.
