IT WAS SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE ALL-STAR GAME AT U.S. CELLULAR FIELD IN Chicago last July 15. Players, coaches and managers from the American and National League were gathering in their respective clubhouses for what would turn out to be a dramatic, mid-summer exhibition before a sellout crowd of 47,609 fans.

With such a plethora of major league talent on hand, opportunities abounded for interviews with some of the game's significant achievers, past and present.

So, with notebook in hand, your host roamed the clubhouses and dugouts to ask certain All-Star personnel the same question; namely: What is your most lasting World Series memory as a player?"
