It is about NY in the 1950s where neighborhoods were divided among Dodger, Giant, and Yankee fans. Doris was a Dodger fan, thus the title of the book. It was a glorious era in baseball, when one of the three NY teams was in the World Series every year, and the corner stores were the scenes of affectionate rivalries. 261 pages. Illustrated.
