BARCELONA, SPAIN -- Tacrolimus ointment proved superior to mid- to high-potency topical corticosteroids in adults with atopic dermatitis in the first large double-blind clinical trial to compare the topical immune modulator with standard treatment rather than with placebo, Dr. Sakari Reitamo said at the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
