'Amazing' Label Baffles Performers
Singer Vickie Chapman said when she sings people have told her she is amazing.
However, Chapman describes herself as having a nice voice, not an extraordinary one.
Chapman, who is blind, said many times people describe performing artists with disabilities as "amazing" because they have misconceptions about people with disabilities.
To further explain her point, Chapman referred to an audition she had in Virginia.
After Chapman finished a song, the director of the production was quiet. Chapman asked if he had a response or questions.
