HONOLULU -- Botulinum toxin A (Botox) appears to be effective in preventing and treating several types of headache, according to two retrospective, open-label studies reported at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology.
The first study involved 271 patients with chronic daily headache (CDH), episodic tension type headache (ETTH), episodic migraine, or mixed headache (a combination of migraine and tension-type headache).
