PHOENIX, ARIZ. -- Perlane and Restylane, two of the new temporary cosmetic fillers that could enter the U.S. market this year, appear to last significantly longer than competing products, Dr. Alastair Carruthers said at a clinical dermatology conference.
However, they may also be slightly more painful when injected and have more side effects. A six-center trial conducted in the United States compared Restylane and Zyplast. Dr. Carruthers conducted a similar study in Canada, but one that compared Perlane and Hylaform.
