SEATTLE -- A new type of autologous skin substitute made from cells of the outer root sheath of anagen hair follicles was slightly more effective than split-thickness mesh grafting in a trial of 77 patients with recalcitrant, chronic venous or arterial leg ulcers, Dr. Rene Goedkoop reported at a meeting of the Wound Healing Society.
