Opportunity is just around the corner, a chance to help expand vitally important pro-life educational programs through contributions to the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).
As the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund has done each year since 1982, it will participate again this fall in the CFC, a workplace campaign created by the Office of Personnel Management for federal employees.
In addition to the CFC, the NRL Educational Trust Fund also participates in a number of state employee and private-sector campaigns. Thus, even if you are not a federal employee, it is worth taking a moment to see if your workplace conducts a charitable giving campaign.
For contributions made through the CFC, the NRL Educational Trust Fund can be located under the federation called HSCA (Human Service Charities of America). NRL's agency number is 2844.
Contributions made through the state and private sectors are found under the umbrella group called "Neighbor to Nation."
The CFC giving period spans approximately two months in the fall, at which time CFC chairpersons distribute brochures (a great number of which are on military bases and in post offices around the country) which list hundreds of charities for employees to select from. Federal employee designations are then automatically deducted from their paychecks throughout the fiscal year, which makes giving easy and pain free.
For example, an employee might pledge $120 with $5 or $10 deducted from each paycheck. Simple, easy, inexpensive.
