FBI Looking For Toddler's Parents
The FBI is investigating Monday's death of a 16-month-old Acoma boy as a homicide and wants to finds his parents, who haven't been seen since Sunday.
The FBI and a relative of the boy have asked that anyone who knows where the boy's parents are to notify authorities. Both are wanted for questioning, the FBI said, but no warrants have been issued.
Zachary Vallo died at University Hospital in Albuquerque at 2:40 p.m., said hospital spokesman Greg Johnston.
The boy's uncle and legal guardian during his treatment at the hospital, Leland Vallo of Albuquerque, called a news conference Monday to ask the public to help find the boy's parents, Claudine Vallo and David Chino.
"I just want them to be brought in to find out what happened," Leland Vallo said.
