Companies often rent 1800 number for a couple of months after a recall is announced. If the number given is no longer operating, phone the manufacturer or retailer direct.
THE PRODUCT: Ford Australia has recalled Ka vehicles built from January 12 to June 29, 2001.
The problem: The front brake hose may detach from the restraining clip and rub against the wheel rim or tyre, resulting in wear that may cause brake fluid loss and loss of braking efficiency.
What to do: Contact your nearest Ford dealer, or call 13 36 73.
THE PRODUCT: Seny International has recalled a folding stool YS 2133 (barcode 9-329225-000024) in red or black, sold in various discount stores in NSW since May 2002.
The problem: A scissor mechanism under the seat could trap fingers.
What to do: Don't use it. Return it to the place of purchase for a full refund...
