If you find a recall or ban not on our list, please let us know. Companies often rent 1800 numbers for a couple of months after the recall is announced. If the number given is no longer operating, phone the manufacturer or retailer direct.
THE PRODUCT: Bayer Australia has recalled unopened stocks of the following garden insecticides, made prior to 2002:
* Bayer Lebaycid 500 Insecticide 100 mL.
* Bayer Lebaycid Insect Spray 100 mL.
* Bayer Baythroid Lawn Grub and Garden Insecticide 500 mL.
* Bayer Folimat 50 Garden Insecticide 100 mL.
The problem: The child-resistant closing mechanism may not work properly.
What to do: If unopened:
* Ensure lid is tightened and keep it out of reach of children.
* Contact the Bayer 100 mL Product Recall Hotline on 1800 136 090, Monday-Friday, 8.30 am-5 pm (EST) for more information about the recall and to organise a refund.
If opened:
* Ensure the lid's closed tightly, and is secure and working effectively -- if so, continue to use the product as per label directions. If not, call the hotline above.
