Zeotech Corporation mines and processes a unique natural zeolite mineral ore called clinoptilolite. In 1982 we became the first company in the United States to build a plant exclusively for mining, processing and packaging natural zeolite products. In addition to producing zeolites from our own deposits, the company has forged strong alliances with other commodity producers of zeolite to become the largest marketer of zeolites in North America. Because every zeolite deposit is different, having access to a multitude of zeolites has enabled us to develop a variety of all natural and chemically modified products for a wide range of applications.
Zeolites have been identified with water filtration dating back to the Roman Empire, when the first aqua ducts built by the Romans utilized zeolite as a filter media. Over the last twenty years, zeolites have been used in various water filtration applications to remove chemical pollutants and heavy metal toxins for industrial and municipal wastewater plants.
