Premium increases for health maintenance organizations in 2004 will average 17.7 percent, according to preliminary estimates offered by around 140 large employers surveyed by the benefits consultancy Hewitt Associates.

That means percentage increases in premiums for 2003 likely will end up in the low-teen to mid-teen range, Hewitt says....
