The readers of American Style magazine have voted Santa Fe the top arts destination in the United States.
Taos also finished in the top 10, placing sixth in the readers' voting.
American Style, described by its editor as aimed at "collectors, collector wannabes, art lovers and those who travel to see and buy art," has 60,000 subscribers.
"For many, Santa Fe is itself a work of art with its chile ristras, adobe churches and sunsets," an article in the magazine said. "Collectors of Native American art make pilgrimages to the August Indian Market. Canyon Road is the Rodeo Drive of the Southwest with nonstop fine art and craft galleries, and the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is a new draw."
In order of number of votes received, the 10 cities listed after Santa Fe were Seattle, New York, San Francisco, Sedona, Ariz., Taos, Asheville, N.C., Chicago, Scottsdale, Ariz., Philadelphia and Miami.
