STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLO. -- An evidence-based approach is always best for managing and treating skin cancers, and eyelid tumors are no exception, Dr. Harry Sharata said at the annual meeting of the American Society for Mobs Surgery.
The choice of Mohs surgery for nonmelanoma eyelid tumors is supported by evidence in the literature, Dr. Sharata said. A review article that examined 110 papers published between 1966 and 1999 justified that conclusion (Ophthalmology 108[11]:2088-98, 2001).
