ST. JULIAN'S, MALTA - An investigational skin lotion containing a DNA repair enzyme decreases the incidence of actinic keratoses and basal cell carcinomas during use and appears to confer protection against premalignant and malignant skin conditions even after application is discontinued.
The lotion contains liposomes impregnated with T4 endonuclease 5 (T4N5), a viral DNA repair enzyme.
