SAN FRANCISCO -- The big news in biologics from the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology was Dr. Alice B. Gottlieb's announcement of infliximab's unprecedented efficacy in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis.
But other biologic therapies for psoriasis are now available or soon will be, Many offer potentially fewer side effects than the chimeric (mouse-human) IgG1 monoclonal antibody and easier delivery options than infliximab, which is given by slow infusion.
