There may not be a more physically fit player in the major leagues than Arizona Diamondbacks closer Matt Mantei.
But there may not be a player whose body has failed him more than the reliever, who allowed one run in two innings Friday for the Tucson Sidewinders against the Las Vegas 51s at Cashman Field in his final rehabilitation appearance. The Sidewinders ripped 13 hits and handed Las Vegas its season-high fourth loss in a row, 5-2.
